Volume Beauty Bar is an innovative salon in downtown Calgary that offers a fashion forward experience when it comes to your hair style. Our professional team of artists offer a wealth of creativity, knowledge and experience when it comes to cutting, colouring, and styling your hair.
Our Artists
Mike
"I take inspiration from both the salon I share with other creative artists as well as my clients themselves."
Mike began his distinguished career studying and apprenticing under Vidal Sassoon inspired artist, Ralph Allocca for six years. He has also studied under Stephan Gagnon in the areas of Advanced Creative Cutting and Advanced Women's Cutting.
As a Master Stylist, Mike approaches each client uniquely. He's a firm believer that a client's experience has to be as much about their vision for their style.
Candace
"The idea of keeping art and creativity as a part of my daily life has been very important to me."
Candace started her career as a stylist in 2004, after graduating from the Delmar Apprenticeship program. Since joining the Volume team at the end of 2009, she has proven to be a great asset both in the salon and on location at fashion shows and photo shoots.
Candace's drive to always keep growing as an artist has taken her to Italy, Miami and more, learning from the industry's top stylists.
Ivan
"My creative side comes from the dreaming of what else I can do to make my clients feel and look their very best once they leave my chair."
Ivan recently moved from Mexico City to Canada, joining the Volume team in 2010. He is a graduate of the Aveda Institute as well as attended the Luxury Hair Technology Cutting Class with Cristiano Cora in 2011.
Ivan's dedication to his clients combined with his passion for hair result in an enjoyable experience for everyone that sits in his chair.
Joi
"The beautiful thing about hair is how it can transform you and make you feel special, or sexy, or like the most individually creative person in the universe!"
Joi studied at Marvel College in Calgary and has since had the privilege of traveling to New York, LA and London to further her talents even more through various courses and training.
Joi is an integral part of the Volume team as she not only excels in the salon as an artist, she is also plays a major role in many of the fashion shows and photo shoots that Volume participates in.
